Since its establishment, the library of the University
of Sciences has been striving for more non-restrictive and modern
services, roviding easy access to and exploitation of information. Its
current focus is on developing the electronic library. In stock now are
substantial quantity of reference resources available for learning, teaching
and research, including:
Books:
50.000 titles.
Journals: 392 publications
General-interest magazines and newspapers:
60 publications
Master's and doctoral theses: 800
Multimedia materials: 300 CD-ROMs, 60
videotapes
Electronic materials: 700 book titles,
56 magazine publications, 30 linear databases, 30 copies of information
and library-related resources.

Equipment: The lab provides adequate working space and
is furnished with sate-of-the-art equipment including over 40 high-specification
HPX2000 workstations, special-purpose servers accommodating the latest
built-in computer devices (VoIP, Wireless, Pocket PC, etc.) along with
professional software.
Functions: Supporting scientific and new technology research done by the
faculty of Information Technology as well as other faculties of the University
when more powerful computer equipment is required. The SE-LAB also serves
as an ideal software engineering milieu for postgraduate and final year
undergraduate students to get their initiatives materialised for their
final papers and to carry out their scientific research projects.
